Senior Human Factors Engineer (Contract)
I am currently a contractor working in the Baxter Frontline Care human factors engineering team supporting primarily Welch Allyn and Mortara product lines.

Some of my achievements:
-
Co-led HF and usability efforts for 510(k) regulatory pathway for the Q-Stress/XScribe Cardiac Stress Testing System
-
Kickstarted cross-functional design changes informed by HF usability test findings
UX Consultant (Contract)
I joined the Ipsos UX team to assist with two projects in the spring of 2024. The first was a massive international benchmarking study (N=392 participants) for an advertising platform requiring remote usability testing, and the second was a usability study for a virtual reality (VR) headset.
UX Researcher
As a researcher at Bold Insight, I had the opportunity to consult on a variety of medical human factors and consumer product research projects. My work ranged from moderating sessions, leading two projects, and training newer researchers.
Human Factors Engineering Intern
I moved to Chicago to join the human factors team as an intern at Emergo by UL, where I received mentorship from the team and made up one half of a validation study team for a Class I medical device.
Research Associate
Core served as my introduction to healthcare human factors. During my time at the company, I received a solid introduction to the HF regulatory process for medical devices and combination products and was able to contribute as a notetaker and moderator for various formative and one validation study.
Owner & Founder
In my fourth year at Drexel, I decided to take a chance at entrepreneurship. What started as a bucket of fermenting tea in my student apartment became a 2000-square-foot brewery at MaKen Studios in Kensington in Philadelphia. While COVID-19 put an end to my cash flow, the experience of starting a small business on my own stays with me.
Peace Engineering Co-op
For my third co-op at Drexel, I joined the Peace Engineering MS program as one of two co-op students working with PeaceTech Lab to explore the intersections of peacebuilding and engineering. While based in the US Institute of Peace in Washington D.C., I contributed to the training and engineering of an early-warning software platform for use by peacebuilders and built a website using Webflow to highlight examples of peacebuilding projects.
Human Systems & Autonomy Co-op
For six months, I had the amazing opportunity to join the Human Systems & Autonomy Lab under Dr. Bill Casebeer in Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technologies Laboratory (ATL). While at the lab, I contributed to a number of human-machine teaming projects sponsored by DARPA, IARPA, and AFRL and explored the ethics of artificial consciousness.
Full-Time Research Co-op + Master's Thesis
Through the STAR Scholar Program and a Steinbright Research Grant, I was able to dedicate myself full-time to researching ways to improve right ventricular assist device (RVAD) designs for adult and pediatric patients. This work eventually became my master's thesis.
Dialysis Support Technician
After losing my business, I was able to bridge my employment gap with a part-time job enforcing COVID safety measures at the Davita Dialysis clinic at 9th and Spring Garden. I got to experience firsthand the joy of the community created by patients with overlapping schedules, who usually came in 3-4 times per week for hours at a time, as well as the socioeconomic barriers that impacted their access to their lifesaving care. Serving them was a privilege I do not take lightly.
Graduated with my dual BS/MS in June 2019!

Food Runner & Barista
Ahh, my first job. What started as a summer job after my junior year of high school ended up becoming a yearlong part-time job during my senior year. I still take lots of pleasure out of making people a nice cup of coffee.
